We are Hiring: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Afghan Hope Community Development (AHCD) is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and community-focused professional to serve as our Volunteer Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Important:
This is currently a volunteer, unpaid position. AHCD is a growing nonprofit organization and does not currently have funding available to provide compensation for this role.
The organization is actively seeking funding and submitting grant applications at the local and state levels to support the growth of our programs and operations.
Any future transition to a paid position would depend on the availability of funding and approval by the organization and should not be considered guaranteed.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and strategic direction for the organization
Oversee programs, operations, and organizational activities
Work closely with the Board of Directors
Develop community partnerships and collaborative opportunities
Support grant development, fundraising, and funding opportunities
Represent AHCD professionally in the community
Help strengthen and expand the organization's programs and services
Provide regular organizational updates to the Board
Preferred Qualifications
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience with nonprofit or community-based organizations preferred
Experience in program management, community engagement, or organizational development
Understanding of grants, fundraising, or nonprofit development is a plus
Ability to develop strong community partnerships
Commitment to serving diverse communities
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
