Afghan Hope Community Development (AHCD)

Afghan Hope Community Development (AHCD) is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and community-focused leader to serve as our Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

The CEO will provide strategic and operational leadership, work closely with the Board of Directors, strengthen community partnerships, and help advance AHCD’s mission and long-term organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for AHCD.

• Oversee organizational programs, operations, and activities.

• Work collaboratively with and report to the Board of Directors.

• Develop and maintain community partnerships and collaborative relationships.

• Support grant development, fundraising, and funding initiatives.

• Represent AHCD professionally with community members, partners, agencies, and stakeholders.

• Identify opportunities to strengthen and expand AHCD’s programs and services.

• Provide regular organizational reports and updates to the Board.

• Promote accountability, transparency, and effective organizational practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Experience with nonprofit or community-based organizations preferred.

• Experience in program management, community engagement, or organizational development.

• Knowledge of grants, fundraising, or nonprofit development is highly desirable.

• Ability to build and maintain strong community partnerships.

• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work effectively with the Board of Directors, staff, and community partners.

• Strong commitment to serving diverse communities and advancing AHCD’s mission.
